hey guys, just finished installing my x-pipe and oh what fun. im pretty sure that the headers to the mid pipe is leaking.... i am going to back them out and tighten each side a little at a time switching. would this resolve the leak??
Thanks:thumbsup1:

it helps if as you tighten them up wiggle the pipe a little to help center the pipe, then tighten a little on each side at a time.

Yup,and sometimes you gotta loosen all of the bolts(header to mid-pipe,mid-pipe to catback),re-center, and tighten each bolt alittle then move to the next and keep changing until they are all finally torqued.

thanks for the info guys. got most of the leak taken care off. they are coming off in a few months anyway so cant see point in making perfect.
now my car didnt smoke before i ripped out smop pump and pipes and installed off road xpipe. now my car is smoking!!!!! BUT when i look under the car, the top of the xpipe is smoking. is it the paint making my car smoke and them being new tubes or did the smog and cat stuff cover up that my car is smoking???
Thanks
