Guess my alternator is going out.

Well today I was driving my car home and my battery light came on when I was coasting in idle well I revd the motor up to about 2k rpms and it went away :thumbsdown1: I can't get over having to replace crap.

Take the brush pack off of the rear and see if they are worn out. I had a bad spot in the area where the brushes ride on on the armature and I used some emroy cloth and clean it up, it charges great now.

Welcome to the world of owning a car.....and one that is almost 20 yrs old. Sucks to hear, but it is inevitable. Hope you get it fixed soon.

I know how you feel. I always convince myself that if i keep replacing parts, eventually I'll have a new car!
