Mexican block

I have a problem.I have so many different people telling me different things,I'm going to be getting a Mexican block in two weeks.What can that block actually hold??

I have been told it can hold almost if not as much as a Dart or Sportsman block but please put input on this.

A Mexican block has 1" thick main caps, and a higher nickel make up...It can handle more than a stock block, but it still only has 2 bolt mains. As to how much it can hold, I would say that a safe range for a stock block is 500-600 with a very dead on tune and some where around 700 or a little more on a mexican block. The old A4 block can handle around 1000 or so...
