Well go figure get the car completed and cant get it inspected. Dang NC laws. They told me I cant have a offroad h. They said I need cats even though it is just a safety inspection not an emissions. Anyone else have this issue. I know there are plety of N carolinians running offroad h's.

I was told by an exhaust guy the same thing. He said best thing to do is buy a bolt on h-pipe and switch them out. (from stock with cats). Then put the catted one back on when you have to get it inspected...My suggestion would be to try and find a used one that has cats on it and either gut the cats and run it or just use it temporarily to get it inspected...

Is the only thing they're giving you hard time over, is not having Cats on the car? If so, do like what was said above, throw a stock mid-pipe on, get it inspected, then put the O/R back on.

ya I am in the same area and not looking foward to switching from sc to nc plates thanks to inspections. they dont do the sniffer test out here if your car is a certain age but they do a visual for cats. just had a guy at work try to get his mud truck inspected and they nailed him for them.

No sniffer in NC at all. Older than 96 and its a visual inspect. Find a Mustang friendly shop and let her eat.

Yeah, you may have to check a couple of places. Do you have any cruise-ins that happen around you? Ask around at one of those and you could probably find a recommended place. I know there is a couple here in Charlotte that will let it fly.
