well, after thinking about it alot and throwing the idea around im going to run NMRA F/S class when my coupe is done...probably the 2011 season. with that being said im going to have some nice parts for sale that arent allowed in the class. i know i wont be very competitive for a while but its the class i think i can afford..most of my buddies have renegade and turbo 275 cars and i cant roll like that:drool:

Good luck, heads up racing is very competitive, even at the factory "STOCK" level.

thanks guys.
Good luck, even F/S is expensive if you want to be in the mix. I ran P/S for several years when NMRA was first starting, it was loads of fun, work, and money. Unfortunately, hurting my back didnt help the work and money portion, so now i just play with my lil ol street car.

i retire from the air force in 5 years when im 39 so until then im just going to learn the class and attempt to compete. when i retire its game on. most are saying you will have about 50k in your car in order to be in the running..some of my friends have that much in motor and tranny:sad1:

I have no doubts about the numbers! F/S is expensive, the other classes get down right crazy!

factory stock is a cool class! good luck with it! my bro-in-law ran pure street and yeah the costs can add up - even in the entry level classes.

Good luck! Any heads up class is a very involved and expensive endeavor.

ran into a few snags...for a season or two im going to run O/C while my other motor is getting built..while my current motor is a bad mofo it wont handle 7000 plus rpm..its too heavy..so the rest of the car will be FS specs but the motor wont be for now..should still knock down 11's on motor..Tommy is in the 10.8's in FS..thats hard to beat. id love to see that car at one of the local small town tracks..it would blow thier minds
either way im gonna be racing in 2011:thumbsup1:

Keep in mind that Tommy went 10.86 at the very first event. I'm sure he'll dip into the high 10.60's-10.70's by years end. I ran the class in '03 and it was tough then. Couldn't imagine what kind of money it takes to be competitive now. Again, good luck!!
