Us and a friend of ours, Matt, had planned earlier in the week to eat at 5Guys Fri nite. We got our meet time and place set up and off we went, we met in greater down town Batesburg with plans to go down Hwy #1 into Lexington stopping in at Kmart before we ate.... weather was bad but not the worst we've been in by no-means... lite rain with the wind gusting some ... not a problem.... we head out of town on #1, the road starts to more and more cluttered with pine straw leaves and occasionally a small limb... not one to worry about if you run over it.... as we started down a hill the wind blew... the rain strated misting more and caused very limited visibility.... Angie started yelling look out, look out, look out about the time I saw it .... a section of an old dead pine about 15 or 20 feet long blocking the road.... just my side ... I didn't have anywhere to go ... a lot of on-coming traffic and a major drop off on the right... I locked up the brakes ... forgot to mash the clutch in and started the skid of death into the dead tree covered with nice greens vines.... Matt said all he saw were brake lights then us hitting the tree... he came close to taking care of the rear of the car for us .... he and another guy stopped the on-coming cars ... we backed out from the tree and pulled to the side.... so far it looks like the BRAND NEW side marker, the rt fenders bent and tire scrubs.. the bumper covers got a couple gouges .... the paint cracked in a few spots and we now have something loose under the hood.... not to mention sticks and vines growing from the front of the car.... the impact was strong enough that the hood came unlatched ..... the funny part of all this is while we were eating ... Matt says hey look there's a cop parked next to me .... he leans back and looks at the side where I parked.... hey there's one next to you too..... a few minutes the two walk in.... stand at the front for a little bit looking around... then get in line to order... a few minutes later a third cop comes in.... for the real kicker... they sat right behind us..... enough excitement tonite.... this weekend !! I hope that wasn't poison ivy oh brother

I'm tired of the black cloud over me... it has to go away sometime,,,,

**** dude and i thought i had bad luck. :sad1: don't worry the thing about bad storms is that they don't last forever even though they feel like it. just persevere and it will all work out.
