bad a$$ had some betting between 2 sets of bikes cycle specilities and another group, cycle had to run a stock bike against a built hayabusa and cycle lost barely then they raced the big boy bikes and cycle spanked that a$$ a lot of foxs out there it was nice a fox won the fastest car with a 5.9 sec run and a nasty camaro was up there that lifted almost hit the center rail let off and got back on it and still ran 6.1 if he didn't have to let off he would have won it but he got a lil over but its all good and OMG it was F'ing packed

The street car shoot out was a JOKE!... Ronnie Strange pulled out a FULL RACE CAR an put some DOT's on it JUST so he could take home the $$$ :angry:

When did " STREET CAR SHOOT OUT " mean bring what the hell ever you got as long as its on DOT's !?!?!?!.... that car of Ronnie's hasnt seen the street since the day it rolled out of the dealership!!!.....B.S.~~!!!!!!

Ole " turbocoupe" was the first run an the tree was messing up an he had to get in an out of the 2 step 3 times before the light op. got the tree to work... by then the car was HOT .. made a pass anyways... an from what i hear it blew a trans line off on the other end an had to shut it down.

they did manage to slick down the right lane pretty good which i thought was fair since they got royally SCREWE() on the tree!... :lol1:
Serves them right for not letting him make a clean run!!! :bat:

no once u double light it it wont give u a time we all were talking about it i was right there at the line and that vert has always been running in that race he did it last year and so thats y it took FOREVER to clean the track i was like WTF is taking so long and BTW Turbocoupe **** nice car

Ronnie has SEVERAL race cars... he don't have ANY street cars!!!!..... he's a rich Guy that can afford to open up his garage an look at all his cars an think...hmmm...I wonder which one I should take to Greer tonight an clean house with!?!?!?!?... its called a street car shoot out for a reason... but they will let anyone run in it.... leaving the REAL street cars out of the race....

There's got to be some better ground rules as to what goes an what stays in the race..... its getting RIDICULOUS!!!!!

You are exactly right!! I agree that some of the cars are not very streetable. Very entertaining nonetheless though.
I think a cruise around downtown greer before the race would eliminate some of the radical cars.:yes1:

To be fair to Ronnie, he was not only on a DOT tire, but he was on a DRAG RADIAL! And, the only one on a drag radial at that! You cant blame the people racing, blame the guy who makes the rules. There were 4 cars in that field last night and 3 of the 4 were race cars on DOT tires. Turbocoupe was the only "street car" in the field.

Yea last night was no fun. In line before the race Mike Greer said that us and the truck were actually the only "legal" cars but since it was the first shootout he was gonna let em run, but next week if they did not have cetain items right they would no longer be allowed to enter the race. I disagree with ronnie and sonnie both being able to run, but the rules are what they are and it's all in fun. A tranny line going to the cooler busted and caught fire to the downpipe, luckly no damage other than tranny fluid all over everything. That A hole at the starting line did not stage his feet wich is why his side went red but it will be ok, We will try it agin next week:thumbsup1:

I wish I knew what happened on the tree. I hit the pre-stage and waited. I finally hit the stage light and went on the brake. I waited and waited and waited for the lights to drop and they didn't. When the track starter jumped in the beams in the other lane, his light timed out and went red. My light still never fell and by this time I was pi##ed off to say the least. I just turned it loose to get out of the way.

Due to the excessive time on the line and heat in the tranny, a tranny line blew out when I shifted into second. I would apologize for oiling the track down but I won't for 2 reasons. 1) The idiot on the line/ tower caused the lights not to go down and 2) I had no idea the line came off until I got to the other end of the track and the car caught on fire due to tranny fluid on the flaming hot headers.

Yea I dont think that guy has all his marbles any ways, but there is always another thursday night. Sorry i did not see you, come over to where we park and say hi some time. It usally hooks decent on slicks but we were trying a new set of tires and it was spinning for sure.

We normally park in the paved area right beside the staging lane. Usually in the upper left corner. I got a Blue tundra with the coupe behind it and there are usually a few Foxes around and a red mach one. Stop by and hang out
