Ran the '97 at Piedmont yesterday...

Yeah I know it's not a fox, but it's still a stang!

'97 GT, 64k miles, 5-speed

All it's got done to it is: cold air intake, flowmaster mufflers, and 4 of the 6 cats are removed. It still has the stock gear and it's got big stupid heavy 20's on it

I was BLOWN AWAY that it ran that quick! I expected a 9.8-10.0.
Most of the '96-'98 GT's ran mid to low 15's in the 1/4 from the factory. That 9.36 should put the car around a mid 14 in the 1/4!

I know sometimes there are just some factory freaks, but I'm a firm believer a good driver can do a lot with a 5 speed street tire car.

good times for it. get that 60' down some and it'll run 9 flat or faster. my little 4 banger is faster though :)
