installing hood pins

just got a new 2000 cobra R hood for my 89 coupe. what is the BEST way to drill the holes for the pins Don't want to mess up the hood.

find out where your holes need to be drilled and take the round rings that bolt to the hood and flip it over and line it up with your mark and drill through that hole and it won't make a mark on the hood . i always install my pins where i want them first and then i'll put some axle grease on top of both pins,slowly lower the hood down on the pins and where the grease touches is where the hole needs to be.
