Stock tranny mount is shot,
Is it worth going with Solid Mount?
as I occasionally drag race with slicks-spray.
Thanks,
Robert
I've always heard they were hard on the transmission case. Cant say the poly mounts have ever given me any problems over the years.

Poly is fine. Solid is too harsh on the trans and drivetrain.

another vote for poly.
a solid trans mount is a good way to bust a tranny case- especially if you have stock type motor mounts.

You want all of your mounts to be pretty close to the same deflection under load. The tranny case being aluminum, will act as the weak link if you have shot motor mounts and a solid tranny mount. Use the poly for all 3.

I run solid motor mounts and trans mount on my coupe. But it is an automatic car that gets raced more than street driven.
More than anything don't mix the two types.
I have the stock mounts on my vert for both.

I run solid motor mounts and a poly transmission mount for years no problems.
A solid trans mount will make some major vibration.

I might copy your mount combo,
Just picked up a Energy Suspension Tranny mount NIB
from a local stanger .. I mentioned site to him he might join -
look for his intro.
