Well i pulled the carpet, seats and everything else out of the car. I was wanting to get some input on the sound stuff on the metal. Should i take it off? I tried to take some off and its a PITA. What do you think? Any ideas as to how i can get it off easy? I am going with new carpet, new seats and all that.

The best way is a wide metal scrap and a torch......heat the blade and go at it........

Is it worth the time to take it off or no?

I am not so much worried about the weight. Just did not want to put new carpet over it if it needs to come out. How much does the stuff weigh? Does it help keep sound out? I have seen people take it out that is why i was asking. Not sure why they did it.

If your not worried about the weight, and you want to keep the sound out. Then take that factory stuff out. and dyno mat the whole inside of your car. That gets pricey, so i just have it around my speakers. But if your not worried about it, then just leave it there. I dosent hurt anything, and im pretty sure it helps. I dont think that stuff is that heavy and that big a deal to worry about takin it out

I would leave it. It's not that heavy and it will make a difference in what you hear coming in the car.
