I just crawled out from under a car one time that just had a jack under it and the jack collasped. It was a 2.5 ton jack and I trusted it to hold and BOOM!!!! I did have the tire under it so I would of just had some broken ribs and maybe a broken gizzard but from now on, I will always use jack stands.

Anybody got any ideas on what to clean the engine bay with ?Some degreaser and a pressure washer will do. The degreaser I use comes in a purple bottle (I can't remember what it is called) but you can buy it at Autozone, Advanced, and I have even seen at Wal-Mart! Make sure to use the pressure washer tho.....and that bay will be clean as new!:thumbsup1:

Sounds good. I put about 3 bottles of degreaser on it. Let it sit and washed it out. It helped a bunch i am going to get a pressure washer to it with some mean green tomorrow

Here are a few more pics. Got the motor tore down. Got the freeze plugs out ( They were nasty on the inside) Bearings were in decent shape but going to put new ones in. Walls look good on the block. Got it all put in baggies and numbered. Going to clean the block today. Put some primer on it and paint it gloss black. Going to paint the heads and intake to alum. Hopefully it will look good when i am done. I will post some more pics when i get started on that.

If you really wanna kick your engine bay in the ass and get the grease off try some B52. I sell it at the store. It makes mean green look like water.

There is nothing like it for grease. I took an old flex plate at the shop the other day just screwin around and let it soak in B52. With just washing it off with water, no scrubbing it was pretty much ready to paint.
