SO I am looking at turboing the coupe. Paul and I have several cars with nitrous- but are looking for a new set up. I know some of you guys have a turbo- and I want to know how hard was it to do? I am worried about the tubing and all- but I have heard it is not that complicated. Here is a phot of my new baby. 60mm single turbo. give me some advice and any pics if you have of the tubing and exhaust routes. Thanks.......

Are you talking about building the kit yourself or buy a complete kit or just buying parts of a kit and fabing the rest?

As far as a complete kit it will depend on which kit you buy. I can only speak of my kit, if your motor is in and the exhaust is off you could install it in 8 - 12 hours without a problem. You have to tap your oil pan for a return and in my kit you have to drill one 1" hole for the return line to go thru. Other than that there is no other cutting or drilling of anything. Now that I have installed it I could do it again in half the time.

i dont have pics of mine yet, becasue i havent started on mine, but i will be doing all the fab work myself, since this is how i make my living,i,m doing away with my a/c and ps,so i'll be running my left side hot pipe across the front of the engine,i could probably route it another way but with a 75mm turbo its not like there is alot of choice of where to mount it,but with that little:p turbo it should be fairly simple to plumb it in,or you could do it the sleeper way and mount it at the rear of the car

My only question is why the 60mm? Street/Strip I would at least go with a 76mm. But the 60mm is a good choice. Good luck on the install, it is not that hard at all.

New here...but I built my own. Pretty simple if you got the time and equipment. Have any questions I'd be glad to help out.

Hey ive talked to you on myspace. Im will with the yellow cobra. How you been man?

To the thread starter- If things dont work out mounting it in the engine bay, maybe you could consider doing an "under mount". Heres some pics of my friends camaro that mounted his under the back end of the car. I guess it could be done with a fox too.

this looks cool and all but i feel it defeats the purpose, plus if you hit a pot hole or something in the road say bye to your nice expenseive turbo set up.

Yeah i'd be worried about it being up under there too. But I dont remember him ever saying hes had any problems like that with it. Guess hes been lucky so far. The roads in the city out here in cali where I live fuckin suck.
