well i wanted a cowl hood for my car,but i just couldnt spend almost 400.00 right now with the motor build and whatever else,i also plan on painting the car by the end of the month,so my friend Andy and I decided to build my own,it put about 10lbs on the nose but no biggie, just have to turn up the boost a little to compensate for it,here goes, this is what i started with

Ive thought about doin that before. Except, i wanna cut the hood, were the factory "cowl" is. and just add in some sections on both sides like you did. But good job man. Post up some pics when you get it painted and done.

well right now its my daily driver, but once the new combo goes in it will be my twice a week drive to work car and go bust some ass on saturday car,i really didnt want to build a "fast" car, something that i could cruise in and bust out some high 10's to low 11's,but everybody that is involved with the car said low to mid 10's will be no problem

Thanks man,i'm one of those that believe if i can do it myself i will, some people say its not worth their time, well hell my time is free, the metal i used was free, all ive spent so far was today at lunch,i bought a qt of bondo and a couple of spreaders,so far i have about 7hrs invested and about 8.00 ,so i'm pleased adn the pics really dont do it justice, once i get it done with primer and all,i'll have my friend who does a little photography take some better pics,i already have two people wanting to see how its done so i can do them one

well i pretty much have the hood filled and sanded, now just some proper priming and it should be good,i use to have 03 cobra wheels until a curbing got hungry one nite and ate a big chunk out of one, well i put the waffle stars back on and painted them black, this doesnt look bad,i'm putting 18/17 fr-500's on it,i just need to get the front now,but i think for the strip i may get a set of prostars and powder coat them black
