Bama fan here, but everyone else in the SEC is my second favorite as long as we aren't playing at the time. I'm a HUGE conference fan, and basically have 3 favorite teams:
Alabama
Everyone else in the SEC
Whoever's playing FSU

Miami is supposedly doing a little better than originally forecast on the rebuilding schedule, but I still gotta figure a victory for the Gators even with the mentioned attrition...
I really like what I'm seeing out of Carolina with Coach Spurrier at the helm !

I don't expect Miami to go any where this year. But when you get the FL schools playing each other, you get some good games. Since most of the players, either played together or against each other in high school.

steve spurrier is over rated, every gamecock fan out there thought he was gonna be the answer to there prayers...... well he aint, he needs to retire, his best days as a coach are left at UF. This is goin his 4th? season at USC and what has he done?? NOTHING... he won the National Title with Gators his secound year as coach..... No offence to the USC fans, but there is just not that kind of tallent in SC or any body commin to SC. At least not like he had when he was a UF, why are all of these "hot shots" out of high school gonna go and play for a team that has been known to be "sorry" when he could get the same full ride at UF, GA, Caines etc..... but thats just my .02, and again no offense to the USC fans. and suprrier is not the only coach i fell that way towards, i am a clemson fan also, but they need to get rid of bowden... like 4 years ago.... the only thing he has goin for him is a really hot doughter. and fsu usta be a decent team, but that bowden is long over due for retirement....

Thats true, there are many times that we get to enjoy a better game than expected because of the roots from H/S that effect certain match ups in the games between Florida teams...

Aint looking good ?!?! Thats pretty harsh for a team that returns an above average number of starters, has the best backfield 1-2 punch in the nation most likely, and will be starting the season ranked inside the top 10. What will they actually have to do to impress ya ? :) I know that they're a bit suspect on the O line, but so far thats the onl;y real kink in the armor that I can see...

They got shafted last year due to the weight of the SEC championship pushing LSU past them in the polls. If you remember just prior to that week they were #4, and #2, and #3 lost, so it would've stood to reason that they'd play in the championship, but they got jumped instead. They of course wound up dismantling an unbeaten and offensively powerful Hawaii in the bowl game which was just what I wanted to see ! :lol1:

Not sure on that one this year. You're absolutely right on the FSU angle, but I think ( at least on paper ) that Clemson is looking REALLY good this year with likely the best chance they've had in decades to hold the ACC and even maybe a shot at the championship although that would be a stretch. Florida looks better on paper, but with the early attrition they've already suffered I'd be willing to bet that a UF/Clemson matchup would be pretty good, and if both teams were on the ball/having a decent day I wouldn't predict a blowout either way, but rather a tight contest. Of course then again with "Superman" at the helm they could maybe put 50 on 'em LOL !

OK .... I have NO favorites teams... I do not follow any type of ball game... I have virtually no interest in them... but I do have a question concerning the intelligence of the clemson football fan and team..... what possessed them to tear down they're own home field goal posts when they beat Carolina at death vally a year or two ago ... like beating Carolina is a big accomplishment... that's nothing new whooopie ... tear up some one elses play pen.... not your own...... wassup with that ?

That has been going on forever, it's like a tradition. Most stadiums have goal post that they can lower to the ground now. Before people get on the field, many have been hurt from goal post coming down.
Beating instate rivals is a big thing in college football.

yea that was like years ago. like notch said, its rivals. beating USC for clemson is like a mustang beat a import. sure it hapens ( and most of the time its not hard to do) but, when you do, its stil a rush and your still excited. and its not just clemson that does that. ALOT of teams have done like USC usta do it like every time they won a game. but now all of the college goal post come down when the game is over

Here's the point: Why do teams tear down their own goal posts??? I thought you tore down goal posts when you beat your rival at their home field. To tear down your own goal posts is stupid, no matter who does it. And for goodness sake, what possible rush can there be for Clemson to beat Carolina??? It happens so often, at Death Valley and Williams Brice, Clemson fans really ought to be used to it. Carolina's football teams usually stink, so what, what, what, is the big deal??? I know it's a very intense rivalry. I've lived here all my life. But, come on. And as far as comparing Clemson and Carolina to Mustangs and imports, there's no need to be so obnoxious.

Clemson is rated in the top 5 in the country for a "drinking college". as of last year! so usc still sucks at football and drinking. :taunt: lol :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
And yall have read what i think about coach spurrier and his "football program" :thumbsdown2: so for all smelly cock fans.... sry, but he is not the savior yall were hoping for... he is not gonna pull yall out of this "slump" yall are in, and have been in for years.... there is just not that much tallent at usc, sry to say it, but theres not. and none of the "badass" players rite out of HS are gonna wanna go to a "sucky" college when they can get the same "free ride" at a school like Gators, or GA, LSU etc.... were they actually win games against teams who really matter! again no offence thats just my .02, im NOT tryin to piss any body off. thats just the way i feel. and im sure most of you hate the Gators just as much as i hate FSU, and USC. but lets face the facts here, Gators my have crappy season (like all teams will from time to time) and USC may get lucky and beat them every 40 years, but if you think USC is a better team than gators than your crazy:insane: Gators is known for there great teams/seasons year after year, they always rank in the top ten, if not the top 5 **** near every year. and what does USC do???? Well arguably Florida was slightly better last year, and USC sure gave them quite a scare. 1 point at Ben Hill Griffin ( The Swamp to those that prefer slang ) if I rmember correctly. Matter of fact were it not for some exceptional Special Teams play by the Gators including a blocked extra point, and I blocked field goal if memory serves, then USC aould've beaten the Gators, and almost did anyway. I have a hard time badmouthing anyone from my own conference, but you're certainly entitled to your opinions, and this is from someone that definitely understands rivalry games as our rivalry game is actually named the "Iron Bowl". I think the Gators will have a good year, and Clemson should as well, but I certainly dont think Carolina will be the sorry team it sounds like in a couple of the posts. Of course thats merely my humble opinion...
