I know this isnt a question about my mustang, but does anyone here have the means to install some DJM Drop beams on my 80's model F150?
I havent ordered them yet, but should be getting hopefuly in the not to distant future, it seems that it would be to great of a task for me to tackle.
If you think you can help, let me know and roughly the labor you would charge me, I'd be glad to help with the install as well:thumbsup1:
thanks

its not a hard job but it is time consuming.you should also install poly radius arm bushings at the same time.

I installed a set on my 94 ranger a while back. I had quite a few people helping me though. It took a whole day to install teh beams, spirings and everything else. You definitely want to buy new bushings as well, just as he stated. You will love it though.I wish I still had my ranger now, maybe after the mustang project is over,I will buy me something with a v8 or put a v8 in it.

What are you doing for the rear?

Well, on a older truck I like the raked looked you know a hair lower in the front that the rear.
The DJM drop beams are for a 3" drop to the front, my truck already sits level, so I've got some DJM 2" Drop shackles for the rear.
I the 2" shackles dont pull the look off, they also sell a drop hanger good for about another 1" drop, but I think the 2" drop in the rear should be enough.

I installed DJM drop I beams on my daily driver 1995 ranger
I did 3 inch I beams
2 Inch Belltech springs,Which gave me a total drop of 5 Inches
The suspension components installed =
( Front )
DJM 3 Inch I beams
Camber Adjusters
Belltech Nitro shocks in the front
Belltech Sway bar
( Rear )
Flip leaf DJM kit
Monroe Adjustable Air shocks
The install was not bad @ All
I did it on the ground without a lift.

thats pretty sharp.
my only option for dropping my truck in the front is the Drop beams, nobody produces drop spindles or drop springs for my truck.
Should be happy though, I've heard a ton of good things about DJM drop beams.
