View Full Version : A first first me at the dragstrip...

I almost got hit by a flying drivers door :sad1: Fast5.0 was there so I am sure he saw it to,. I was trying to set up my camera and I noticed a Nova haul ass down the track with no door...I instantly thought "where's the the door?" I look up and it is up in the air a few feet from me. I wish I had the camera set up. It was the outer shell of a fiberglass door.

Well..sort of :lol1:..but these people were laying down money like no tomorrow. Two guys put up $10,000 a piece on a run. I got the vid of the runs. I'll post it up when I get it edited.

That's crazy man. Glad you are o.k. and I guess people have money money than they do brains. There is no way I would bet that kind of money on anything much less racing.

Man I would cry if I lost the money the was lost tonight. It was a lot of fun to film. I may be going back every week..it makes for some great vid..especially all the smack talking.

a nova... missing door .... a few things come into play in this case .... said door was only held on by one coat hanger instead of two... plus the duct tape for the extra security was missing..... not to mention.... nova.... gm product.... what do you expect.... all the pieces to stay on ??? heheheheh:lol3::lol3::lol3::lol3:

They did actually use duct tape to hold everything back together so he could run again. :drool: That thing was nasty fast though. I hope to have the vid done this week.

ya i saw that blue nova make that pass that car was hauling pure ass he came back later that nite and raced the camaro from GA for 20.000 and won all i got to say is thats 1 bad ass car i had alot of fun and it was good to talk to you yesterday

Same here Chris! Do you go out there a lot? I'm thinking of going to their grudge races to film. Its entertaining :yes1:
