i have a set of edelbrock performer rpm heads with the 2.02 valves, b303 cam and 1.6 roller rockers. my question is am i going to have problems with the valve size on the stock 1990 block with this combo. some are telling me that the valve reliefs in the pistons are not big enough and others are telling me that this will not be a problem with the b cam because of the short lift. i dont wanna tear it appart just to put it back together stock. i know that this is an opended question but any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the 2.02 Valve you will need to fly cut the pistons for clearance.
You can mock it up, and check the clearence. Most likely you will be able to get away with the setup you have, but I recommend checking to be safe. If anything you may have to lay back the eyebrow part of the relief(radial clearence), not make it deeper.

Buddy tried it in my old Capri ( how I got it so cheap after he bent/broke valves and holed a couple pistons ) with a set of TFS Street Heats that had 2.02 intake valves on a stock 91 shortblock. Now the car runs 10's with a healthy 331 stroker, so I guess it all worked out in the end...

you should have no problem but check it with a clay set up i ran the same set up on my gt with 1.7 rockers and had no issues just make sure the heads have not been decked or you may have issues
