SOME OF YOU MIGHT REMEMBER PROJECT OILER FROM THE OLD SITE.. THIS NEXT PROJECT IS OILERS OLDER ADOPTED BROTHER!!! THREE YEARS AGO I PERCHASED A 1986 MERCURY CAPRI.. MY PLAN WAS TO TURN IT INTO A NASTY STREET STRIP BEAST.. BUT HAVIN TWO KIDS AND A WIFE THAT LIKE TO SPEND MORE MONEY THEN WE BROUGHT IN IT CAUSED ME TO COVER THE PROJECT TILL RECENTLY!!! WHAT SOME ENCOURAGEMENT FROM FRIENDS AND DONATED PARTS AND THE LEAVING OF MY WIFE... ITS FINALLY COMING TOGETHER. I HOPE TO HAVE SOME PIX UP SOON BONES NEEDS TO HELP BECAUSE IN COMPUTER DUMB!!! HAHAHAHAHA:lol1:

its about **** time you got these pics up!!! man that capri is gonna be f*cking sweet. looks like its complete? i love to see capri's fixed up instead of butchered for mustang parts or converted. after you get the big block and clean her up some more that thing will terrorize the locals. drag bones out to get pic's during the process. i can't wait to see more!

Well i had the day off along with my son so today on "project big brother" we tackled putting the rear end back together.. Its 8.8 that came out of project oiler.. When i bought the car it had a 4:30 gear i swapped out the rear for a stock geared rear and had the 4:30 sittin around. I cleaned it up and painted the housing!! My son christian and myself installed new housing bushings,bearings and seals... He loves to work in the shop. When hes not helpin me ,he trying to modify his 600cfm holley carb... Hes a chip off the old block!!!! I hope to get bones to the shop to take some pix of what i got done. Hopefully next wend. I will have my 460 big block on the engine stand ready to tear into it, i will keep yall up to date on that.

I would like to have one.. But there hard to find the didnt have one when i bought it... Im going to run a sheet metal wing from s&w race cars so i will be using the hatch thats on the car!!!

Well finally my project made it back in the shop this evening!! Bones and joel came over and gave me a hand!!

Im still waiting on my big block so in till then im dropping a carbed 302 t-5 combo between the shock towers so i can enjoy the car.... Its been sitting to long!

The engine is near completion waiting on an intake, trai has my t-5 getting it back in working order...it wont be long its starting to come together....my son has really been crackin the whip pushing me to get it done!!! Lol hope to have some more pics up soon!!

well its getting a little closer me and dad finished ip the wiring for the duraspark ignition and the engine is ready! just pick the tranny up from trai today just need to order my clutch kit and i can drop it between the frame rails.. hope to have some more pics up soon!!!!

Well i fueled her up and hooked up a battery and she came to life..... Some close friends know that i have been working on this car for 5 yrs! There was many times i was going to give up but my friends kept me motavated to keep at it!

Well my 89 hatch is apart waiting on some fresh paint in the spring so i figured i need to finish up the capri so i have something to cruise in while im getting the othe car done.....

Well as of now im trying to finish up the interior thanks tp jonathan west for the grey tweed seats and carpet from his donar car. I have the carpet in and console im hoping to have the panels and seats in some time next week!

Well the capri moves... We got the trans issue worked out dad had to massage the input spline alittle to let the clutch disk slide nicely on it got home from work and he had it all back together... It made its first ride down the driveway!!! It felt good to drive her after working on it for 6yrs... Just need to finish up primering it and switching out the doors and put the bubble hatch on it and she will be on the road in the spring...

Well some of yall know that i got my capri on the road and after driving it a few weeks it popped a head gasket between cyl 2 and three... Well after it sitting of awhile im getting ready to step it to the next level!!!!
Last week i scored a procharger d-1 stage 2 blower with the brackets,lower pulley,belt and some other odds and ends... Not a complete kit but enough to put it together... So the capri is going the boosted route.. I posted some pics in my album of my new toy. Will keep everyone up to speed on the progress!!!

WELL I FINALLY HAVE SOME MORE PICS... WELL THE CAPRI IS GETTING SOME BOOST IN THE FORM OR A D-1 STAGE 2 PROCHARGER WITH THE 12 RIB BELT!:drool:

IM CONVERTING A 650 HOLLEY DP TO BLOW THRU... USING A PROFORM MAIN BODY WITH ADJUSTABLE AIR BLEEDS, SOLID FLOATS AND LARGER NEEDLE AND SEATS... MY DAD IS MAKING ME SOME BOOST REFRENCE POWER VALVES SO I WILL HAVE BETTER DRIVABLITY! AS MORE PARTS ROLL IN I HOPE TO GET MORE PICS UP!:thumbsup1:
