Afternoon all... just wanted to say hello to the FOX DEN before I have to get ready to head to work. Hope each of you are having a wonderful day :) Looks like we may get some storms here today. I love them but would rather just have a slow steady rain to help with the drought. Well, I am off to eat and get my tail in gear... gotta leave early to beat the 5 o'clock traffic on Woodruff Rd. same here i drove mine yesterday and had to keep wiping the windshield off and couldn't even see out of the back window:thumbsdown1:

i haven't had a mustang with heat except for the one i picked up off the side of the road for 200 bucks:lol1::lol1:

I need to go start taking the dash apart in the 87 to do heater core, just don't want to..LOLI feel for ya Bones.Thats not a fun job.So far no leaks out of mine.The other day I had the crap scared outa me.I was driving down the road and started to smell coolant.It turned out to be the car in front of me:doh1:

Afternoon everyone. I need to go start taking the dash apart in the 87 to do heater core, just don't want to..LOL

Here it is...


Ya basically end up taking the core out from UNDER the dash on the passenger side. Remove the upper defrost vent (bottom of windshield), to uncover a few bolts that hold the dash. on the side the dash there is one bolt, remove it. I'm not sure how many others there are, can't remember, but ya just remove just enough so ya pull the dash out about 4,5 inches. Enough working room. Then ya remove the blower motor, from the bottom, off the side of the heater box. Then ya snake your hand up top, to remove the 4 bolts for the heater core cover on the top. it will be glued on, so once ya take the cover bolts off, just tug at it a little bit it will budge. Then just carefully snake it outta there. and Do the same when ya put the new one in. Being carefull not to crush, or bed the heater core pipes.

Its much easier if your smaller, so ya can get your hands up in there easier. It's tight, but it beats taking the dash out!

Yea I saw that. I never take the dash out..just moved it back far enough to get in there. And I took a short cut last time, and cut the top of the box..LOL

at home at last.... was a very slow nite but a pretty good one. went out to smoke round 7ish to be called up to Office Max or Depot, whatever it is beside us, to round up a snake some father and son had found..lol.. I have no clue what kind it was, looked like a small python to me, had Matt check to see if it was one of ours.. he said no so off free he went in the woods.... hope the little feller does good out there.

Matt said it wasnt one and it wasnt one of ours... i tried to call you to see if you wanted me to bring it home.. even called Chelle after you didnt answer to see if she knew anyone who might want it... she didnt so i set him free....
