87 GT SUNROOF HEADLINER

Im trying to find the correct vinyl headliner material FOR A 87 GT W/SR...... Check several sites, and no one has the OE vinyl. ALL I'M OFFERED IS THE CLOTH MATERIAL. TRYING TO MAINTAIN THE OE LOOK.

Check with Nitrostang Racing in the Vendor section. They are a dealer for LMR and should be able to get something to work for you..

Don't think 87's were offered with a vinyl headliner. I know the 79-82's were. Might have to be a custom job.

Eric is right but you could go to any upholstery shop and get the vinyl for it. I replaced the headliner in my 89 with the cloth material and I loved it.

I know exactly what you have. Some of the less unfortunate guys ended up with this material and I'm one of them too.

I'd say 85% of the later year foxbodys had the cloth headliners and the rest had that vinyl material that was left over from god knows what...lol

It's not exactly vinyl and it's not leather. Someone told me the correct name of the material a couple of years ago and I forget what it's called.

My 92 came with grey leather seats and that vinyl grey headliner,but get this my darn sunvisors are cloth:angry:

lol...I'm the second owner of the car and I knew the original owner very well, so I know it came from Ford that way.

If you need a new headliner or material to cover the original board, I can probably help yah out.Just let me know.

tony, I was wondering if the 85-86 headliner would work? Several companies have those.
